this is just going to get ridiculous if everyone that donates is going to expect changes left right and centre. It did state that the sever could continue AS IS.I think the rules should be left as they are, they work so why change them.We don't need a queue system. It will create more work and the server has run perfectly fine without it. |

its not so a bad idea
its a simple script that only the first can get the plane
changes are not always bad
and we can always give suggestions here

if we have wait in line rule for jets, chopper everyone can have experience, in every map with jets choper from 3-5 players are waiting for j/p, so player A can fly, after that player B and C ect ect, if you are good at flying the others will get bored and take something else, if not, is time for player B to take his chance.
sorry for my english. |

I saw a script that defines helipad area and only allow 1 guy inside it, others are just teleported outside with a proper on screen notice |

Now tell me why 2f4y is so successful compared to other servers Birdy...!? Yeah right we got no stupid rules like wait in line etc. When you want the jet/Tank/chopper just use your brain and have luck...

The system works fine as it is,more server time = more chance to get vehicle. There have been no problems with the current system. Why fix something that is not broken? |

We shouldn't change that much. Maybe a change in mapcycles every now and then, that's it.
It is not a matter of “if'', but “when” |

I am very disappointed to hear the news about 2F4Y shutdown. It will indeed be a great loss for BF2 community generally and specifically for players who had been playing on 2F4Y server.
I would greatly appreciate if we regular members could donate our time and money to keeping this server alive. I am very much willing to do my part on both time and moneywise.
I was actually thinking of expanding the community on the lines of Project Reality. What I am suggesting is some 2F4Y branded MOD for BF2 and expanding the game. |

Hello everybody,
I just read that you guys are planning to shut down this great server. I also just got my BF2 computer up and running after not playing for almost a year. I honestly can't find any other server to play on, so please do not shut this great place to play BF2 down.
I'm available nights and weekends to help out any way I can. I have no desire to play those awful BF3 & 4s...BF2 is the only game I want to play.
My time and money are yours. Please just tell me what you need from me and its done. I would gladly pay to keep this awesome server going than put money into a new console and games.
I really enjoy playing/fighting with almost all the Europeans I encounter here. The gameplay by all players is of the highest caliber than any other server I've been to.
Thank you to everyone who has kept this server running for a glorious 10 years. This has been a very fun and fair place to enjoy this game.
I don't know a lot of the admins by name but thank you to each and everyone of you for your thankless work.
DjB

Hey guys,
sorry for the late response - due to my daily business i was really short on time the past week.
As you can see, the new server is online and we've also re-enabled Battlerecorder demos. 2F4Y will continue (and maybe even improved) at least as long as the community is keeping the project alive via donations and/or other support. By the way, thank you all for the positive feedback and suggestions!
Within the next days we will setup the donation form i've already mentioned in my previous posts.
Happy fragging! |
