M95 airdefence:
So ive been thinking about the efficiency of sniper m95 squadron as an air defence. Often there is a situation where air strip and/or helipad is being raped by 1 or both (or sometimes even more) enemy jets. And often there is like 5 - 10 guys around who are trying to get those vehicles or doing something else there.
If all these guys spawned in as m95 snipers, i think they could take out (or wound) the jets easily. First of all they can be anywhere, its very hard for the jet pilot to know where they are, sniper bullets move fast so they can hit targets quite easily, just take a little bit of advance and its often a hit.
It takes 7-8 m95 bullets to destroy a jet regardless where u hit, or at least when i tried shooting grounded jets that was the case. So for example if u got 6 snipers in gulf of oman that shoot an incoming raping jet and 4 guys of them hit, its half of the jets health. Second run like that and its destroyed or if he goes for repairs, it will take him quite a bit time if he wants to have the jet in full health. Maybe giving enough time to get the own jets into the air.
M95 against heli is efficient too but u need to hit the cockpit. 8 bullets in cockpit drop a heli or 24 in the hull, so u might want to aim carefully on helis.

Didn't know that the cockpit has a different damage model, definitely gotta try that one out - Krupp23 bush wookie reportin' in...

I'd rather see 6-8 antitanks.. 1 hit needed to kill a (raping) jet, and max. 2 for a (raping heli).. more effective (only 1 or 2 out of 6-8 need to hit) compared to all ppl need to hit.

Hey here. My company provides multiple services. Actually we are defending people from raping jets and helis, and also selling some good reg. Accuracy is about 99,9% but we are trying to improve it.

Well i was playing last night a bit, was in jet on wake island, trying to win for our team (we lost 5-0). Died once in the quite beginning in aerial combat, but didnt after that.
So we were the US team and me and the other jet were keeping the enemy jets and heli down almost all of the round. Id estimate there were at least the 6-8 antitank guys who tried to hit every time they felt thay had a chance of hitting.
The end result was that i had to go for the carrier 3 times, one time when there were 2 manned iglas, and i got two hits from them, and the other 2 times were when i ran out of ammo. In all honesty i would have taken more damage from a single m95 guy then i did from all of the ATs. Dont know if the other jet got shot down by the ATs but i didnt at least see that happening.
Personally id be interested in knowing whether lets say 6 m95 guys would be effective against a jet (or heli) or not. I know my numbers are solid in theory but practice is always different. Cant really be six guys simultaneously and try it myself...

Well the idea is good, and perhaps (in pub level) the chance of taking a jet out with m95's () is higher than with AT's (even though I have my doubts), but when e.g. all these snipers go in a transport helicopters and move to enemy flags, their kit is totally useless..
