New Punkbuster Client/Server Versions! "PB Client not responding" |

If you have any problems to connect/join our Server ( for example "PB Client not responding" ) you have to manually update your Punkbuster client.
Just klick on this Link and follow the instructions:
http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
Then reboot your System and start BF2.
If you have still troubles to join, you may have to reinstall the new Punkbuster Service Files.
Just download "pbsvc.exe" and follow the installer instructions:
http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
Then reboot your System, start BF2 and have fun

yes. today pb released a new update with same update version as two days ago.
if you get kicked from the server you have to update your punkbuster client manually AGAIN!
just follow the instructions in my first post here.

i need some help please
on every server i go on 10 seconds later i get kicked off the server and it says :
punkbuster kicked player stylenbr33ze
RESTRICTION: service communication failure
pnkbstrb.exe iniialization failed
it says that and ive tried the to links installed the new wupdates and rebooted and it still doing it can you please help me with what to do thanks

i think you have to (re) install the service files
also make sure your virus scanner / firewall DONT block any access of the pb services while installing and running.
try it and post your feedback please

Hi,
if i join the server i can play for a few seconds but after that i get kicked and they say : RESTRICTION: punkbuster.exe handshaking failed
please help me !!! |

Yeah - this was a problem why Autoupdate not worked on my PC - Kaspersky Anti-Virus detected that PnkBstrB.exe was a "malware driver" or something similar...LOL
It didnt gave a warning-sound so I just recognized it after closing BF2...
ot: The PnkBstr process keep on running in the system - also after I closed BF2 - is this similar on your machines? |

PnkBstrA.exe, PnkBstrB.exe and PnkBstrK.sys are part of the Punkbuster service package. You can check out the FAQ about the services @ www.evenbalance.com
They MUST have access to the internet!

The PnkBstr process keep on running in the system - also after I closed BF2 - is this similar on your machines?
yes it does. it's a system service and runs always in the background.

no. if you already downloaded "pbsetup.exe" you must not download it again, but you must execute it again to update your punkbuster client.

Execute means "do" or "proceed" or (some1 with better knowledge of language help thnx)...basically do it again; start it, choose game, check updates, quit. it worked for me. and reboot computah ofcourse
