Some of use like flying 1on1, Public or just 24/7 Wake. Nearly over 300 people shared that flying in BF2

We shared servers - mostly unranked "BF2C_Airshow" and helped each other out.
We want to make the next step in BF3. We played this for now 3 months. Everyone who likes flying jets in Battlefield and is planing to fly in BF3 should join:

We will use a Battlefield 3 Youtube Channel
to promote good Dogfight related BF3 Fotoage and keep you in the future updated about any Jet related news

What we will have:
At release date of BF3 we will have a ranked and unranked 16 Slot Dogfight server witch will be sponsored by tokei and myself. Aswell as a Teamspeak server. Everything is free for all. Like in BF2 some sponsor servers, some make movies or do other stuff to help to community, like just fly on the server!
What are we now?
We are just a community a list of people who enjoy flying in BF3. Its not a clan! So i hope, if you like flying will join and see each other up in the skys of the Battlefield.

Great idea, thanks guys! I think without fly-by view, it will be a fresh start for some of us. Any thoughts from alpha testing regarding jets? |

Yes: There were no Jets in the Alpha-version.
The only possibility to fly Jet in BF3 so far was the Games-Convention in Cologne some weeks ago...
Akaocram was there and tried it, maybe he will reply here.

no fly by when pressing F12? only cockpit view?

hehe... advantage for classic simulator pilots
use rearview mirrors 
if it is true, then more teamwork needed to be succesfull in air, so it's gooooood

Jet Feeling
Well there is now flyby, but you will be basicly change rapidly between F10 and mouselook (cockpit and then strg) and will use backview. Thats basicly it. At the begining there will be again deadzones where you need to fly instinctively, but after 3-6 months you feel no big difference between flyby and those "old new" camera angles. So you will be able to see the enemy jet at all time.
Jet fly was very nice and made fun. The feeling was quiet the same like in BF2. Even i suck at flying with mouse it worked fine. Jets can fly faster and higher. If you go higher then about 1200 (meters feet idk never knew in bf2 what unit it was) your jet doesnt lose control you just lose speed and fall down.
Unlocks
You can fly the F18 and SU35FB they way you want. So you have to unlock everything (takes about 100 hours) and then you can choose between flying the F18 like an bomber or Fighter Jet. So you will only have Air to Ground missiles or only 6 rockets. The MG will always be there.
Here is a list of upgrades:

Stealth = You cant be aimed at by Ground to Air missiles
Maintenance
Beam Scanning
Air Radar
Proximity Scan
Spec2:
IR-Flares
ECM Jammer
Extinguisher
Spec3:
Guided Missile
Heatseeker
Yes you wont have any flares at the beging. I could use them at the gamescom, because i had a high enough rank/points.
For competetive play every unlock will be adjustable on unranked servers. So you can say knife only server or - Everything unlocked for everybody.

Thx for info, these changes sound good to me. Although i will miss "fly-by"..:-)
I´m really hyped for this game, if u got more intel, plz go ahead. I assume, joystick will be supported (?). |

Very likely since this game is competing with it self (BF2) and the rest of all FPS games.
I will run around on the ground so you guys have something to shoot at.
