Since Players still loosing their connection after each roundend because of the Gamespy Datacenter move we decided to end the rounds manually by a 2F4Y.com modul!

What does this mean?

15 Tickest before the round would offically end we restarting the round, swapping the teams and calculating/announcing the winner team.

Even if some players getting confused on the first inofficial roundend, the positive effect is that they wont loose their connection with an "Error reading from the server" message.

Will points still count?

The 2F4Y loyalty system points count as usual, the Gamespy ranking points wont count on any ranked server alsong they have not fixed their Datacenter problems. We will disable the manual roundend from time to time to check the official gamespy status.

UPDATE 31st August 2010

The issues seem to be fixed.

We are currently running the servers in normal mode again. Should the Gamespy-caused disconnects reappear again within the next 3 days we switch back to the NO-ROUNDEND-MODE.

In order to enhance your gaming experience on 2F4Y.com's Battlefield 2 servers we clarified and simplified our server rules. We also removed obsolete rules and added more specific situations to prevent wrong interpretations.

After a very close first round of "Gulf of Oman" as USMC with sometimes only one flag left we knew this war would be hard.
The second round on "Gulf of Oman" was easier to win due to a good defense, however the win was not as high as we hoped it would be so we only had a small ticket-advantage for Mashtuur.
On Mashtuur the tactics at the beginning worked like planned, however we then had massive problems holding the flags and very soon only had one or two flags left. As a result we had a hard time breaking through the frontline to gain new flags and to prevent the fullcap.
All in all they moved quicker and more coordinated on Mashtuur, showed a way better performance then in the last war and therefore deserved to win this one!

Good Game Pornostars!

Because of the strong suspicions against the Helicopter Crew of the 2F4Y.com Community War-Team in the Community War on 17th January 2010 against "EA DE Pornostars" we decided to take the corresponding countermeasures.

Our War Manager Antiglucke has collected and checked all available information about the Helicopter Pilot "B-BoySilvester" including the Master Ban Index entries "d7a375da" and "e4768736". Furthermore he analyzed the battlerecorder demo files of the last Community War and summarized the suspected scenes to a » video.

Even if the collected facts are not a 100% proof, summarized they confirm the suspicion against "B-BoySilvester" highly and due to the fact that the mentioned player could not give a comprehensible legitimation he will be banned from further Community Wars and all 2F4Y.com servers.
For this reason 2F4Y.com agrees that the winner of the Community War on 17th January is "EA DE Pornostars".

The accusations against the Helicopter Gunner could not be approved by 2F4Y.com except the fact that he was banned in the ESL earlier times. Anyways, the player in agreement with 2F4Y.com decided to leave the War-Team.

2F4Y.com never has and never will tolerate Players in their War-Team who are found guilty e.g. for a PunkBuster violation. Futhermore, for the reason of reliability, 2F4Y.com in the War-Team neither will accept players who have a known history of using cheat-tools nor players who are listed on any Master Ban Index (even with an old PBGUID) if no legitimation (e.g. 100% comprehensible account hack) is given.

We enhanced the loylaty system with a new feature, the "Server startup bonus"!

This bonus awards players which helping the community to keep the 2F4Y.com gameservers up and running. A detailed description is available in the "Loyalty System Overview".

Regarding to the questions we already got by PM/mail and the fact that this is a major bonus since its awarded per minute we added a forum thread to keep you guys up 2 date about the system balance.
