Wouldn't hurt for you to figure out the commander's spot function. People might yell at you less if they weren't constantly getting jumped by unspotted enemies/jihad jeeps.

You're highly overestimating yourself in this game.
Be it in a vehicle server or S1 which is an infantry server.
You will always be farmed in every conceivable way until you stop crying and rather use that energy at getting better at the game which I highly doubt will ever happen.

DICE failed with balancing the air <-> ground aspect. They even removed the shaky TV missile cam that existed in 1.0, as if the chopper superpowers needed easing. In BF2142 the balance is great all around however.

Near the top of the file you will see something like this:
rem ** Balance between 2d and 3d samples.
sound.setProperty "balance2d3d-default" 0.925
sound.setProperty "balance2d3d-eax" 0.925
the 0.925 value is what I personally use for the sound levels. 1.0 = completely muted, I don't recommend muting it completely as it affects other sounds than just radio.
After you're done editing sound.con, right click sound.con, go to properties, and tick "Read-only" then click ok.
