a good graphic card?
NVidia GeForce 8800 Ultra or 8800 GTX.. XFX or EVGA might be a good choice. I think the most will say that u should buy an GTX or GTS, a good price for a good performance.
Gaming Periphery:
Logitech G11 or G15 Keyboard

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse

I have them both and i'm satisfied.

Instead of 8800GTX or GTS an GeForce 8800GT would be better (in some cases as good as/better then the 8800GTS but much cheaper (in Germany ~200s64...
//I have no clue of the Ati cards, never got their Naming System etc. so maybe there is a better/cheaper 8800GT-Killer from Ati..?!
DON'T take a graphics-card with DDR2, this is too slow for the games you obviously want to play...
Temperatures of 40-45°C are VERY good, no problems there, my graphicscard has 50°C IDLE, more then 60 while playing (Shuttle Barebone, tight and therefore a little bit hotter then other PCs)
I don't think that 3GB RAM would be that good, as there probably wouldn't be any chance of Dual-Channel Mode - 2GB should be enough atm but if you still want to upgrade you should probably buy 4GB (but remember, you then need a 64 Bit OS as 32 Bit OS only can adress ~3GB of RAM)
@andries131313 - some pay for Hardware, others for Knifebots
