Installation
The BF2Hub Client is supplied as an installation executable (EXE). Open your web browser, navigate to the download section on www.BF2Hub.com and click the download button to get the latest version of the installer (EXE).
Copy the EXE to your desktop or other convenient location and start the installer by double clicking on it. If you are installing the BF2Hub Client on Windows Vista or newer you may need to confirm various User Account Control prompts before the installer will run.
[1] The installer will start and welcomes you. Just click Next.
[2] Read the License Agreement and then click "I Agree" to continue the installation process.
[3] Optonally choose the folder to install the BF2Hub Client into and click Next.
[4] Additional tasks can be performed, just stay with the default selections and click Next
[5] Choose which servers the Battlefield 2 Ingame Server Browser should list and then click Install.
Note: Our 2F4Y.com servers are valid servers and therefore listed in any case.
[6] Once all files have been successfully copied you will see the following. Click the Next button.
[7] You will be notified that the BF2Hub Client has been installed on your computer. Click Finish.
Installation is complete!
The BF2Hub Client will be launched automatically.
A small Tray Icon () in the taskbar will show you that the BF2Hub Client is running on your PC:
Click on the Tray Icon () to open the BF2Hub Client Main Window and check your global system condition for Battlefield 2 with BF2Hub.
If all fields on top are green, you're ready to go! Note: If a field is yellow or red, just click on it and the BF2Hub Client will help you to fix eventual issues.
To play Battlefield 2 immediately just click the "Play Battlefield 2" button () or start your game by double-clicking the "Launch Battlefield 2 with BF2Hub" shortcut on your desktop:
Important
As written in the installation guide above it is highly recommended that you stay with the default installer selections in step [4].
This will ensure that your existing Battlefield 2 accounts and CD-keys will be automatically backed up to BF2Hub to play further with your existing stats/ranks.
Otherwise you need to backup your accounts manually as follows:
Open the BF2Hub Client Main Window by clicking the BF2Hub Tray Icon ()
Click the "Backup Accounts" button
Click "Save your CD-keys and Accounts to BF2Hub Network now"
Wait until all accounts/CD-keys have a green background
Repeat #3 and #4 until all your accounts/CD-keys are successfully backed up.
