PUNKBUSTER UPDATE HOWTO!
If you have any problems to connect/join our Server ( for example "PB Client not responding" ) you have to manually update your Punkbuster client.
Just klick on this Link and follow the instructions:
http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
Then reboot your System and start BF2.
If you have still troubles to join, you may have to reinstall the new Punkbuster Service Files.
Just download "pbsvc.exe" and follow the installer instructions:
http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
Then reboot your System, start BF2 and have fun.
Important: Make sure your virus scanner / firewall DONT block any access of the pb services while installing and running!

dont kown if anyone has the same problem but I keep getting a dead link for PB update can anyone help????????????:( |

To Manually update your local PunkBuster Security Files, choose "Save As" from your Web Browser's "File" Menu and explore to find your game folder and the subfolder called "pb", then save this file in that location (/pb/pbsec.htm or /pb/pbsecsv.htm). The next time you start your game, your PunkBuster will have the latest security information necessary to accept auto-updates from PB Servers.
